![]() Recommend/will attend again? Yup! Especially great for locals (Cincinnati REPRESENT!) but still a well-organized convention with good panels and guests. However, some people did not cover their noses, while others were not wearing a mask at all (I even saw someone vaping as they walked past me, and when I gave him the stinkeye he said “don’t you know who I am?” An entitled asshole, apparently.)Īs the show is downtown, other events like Oktoberfest and home sporting games (Reds and Bengals) can affect traffic (both car and human), though drunk people do seem to like to buy comics :3 Overall there was good mask compliance, with 90+% of people wearing masks correctly. Unfortunately, I had no left hand neighbor (empty tables often make attendees think a row isn’t worth going down) and a very new artist to my right who was shouting at everyone walking past. ![]() Traffic came in waves (as is normal for most cons), and there were definitely times I was able to get up and walk around or just draw, and times when I had a large crowd. Alan Oppenheimer, Tom Cavanagh, Ross Marquand, Morgan Lofting, Sean Schemmel, Art Baltazar, K Lynn Smith, Thom Zahler, Paul D Storrie, Mark Kidwell, Scott Beaderstadt, and more have been announced as guests for Cincinnati Comic Expo 2021 Tickets for the 2021 Cincinnati Comic Expo are on sale now. Unfortunately, as would become a pattern through the rest of the year, the new variants meant some artists/authors were hesitant to come, leaving empty tables. The show is fairly well run, even if it is largely volunteers who don’t always know what’s going on (I was one of them, no judgement). Thousands of people are expected downtown Cincinnati this weekend for the expo, which was forced to postpone in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. I had volunteered and sold at CCE back in 2019, so I was familiar with this show and the staff. The Cincinnati Comic Expo is back in 2021.
